Edith (Edie) Silva passed away August 28, 2000 at her residence in Socorro. She was born July 12, 1927 in Nogalas, NM. She is survived by her husband, Nick Silva of the home; her sons, Sonny and wife, Cecelia, James and wife, Rosie, Nick Jr. and wife, Amanda, Bobby and wife, Georgia, Timmy, Larry and Tino Silva, all of Socorro and Jerry Silva of Hopewell, VA; daughters, Mary Ann Ruiz and husband, Jose of Socorro, Bonnie Montoya and husband, Max of Belen, Jeanette Chavez and husband, Esteven of Socorro, Cindy Anchondo and husband, Lazaro of Los Lunas and Peggy Camacho of Socorro. She is survived by 54 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2000 at San Miguel Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be recited at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 31, 2000 at San Miguel Church. Interment was in the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers were her eight sons.
