Geraldine A. Skala, age 75, a resident of Albuquerque, NM died on Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at home after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Skala, in April of 1998. She is survived by her only child, Jennifer A. Mike and her husband, Phillip; her beloved grandchildren, Shannon and Sean Mike; sisters, Marian Strnad of Garfield Hts, Ohio and Carol Brown of Flintridge, CA; sister-in-law, Ruth Skala of Bedford, OH and sister-in-law, Betty Blake and husband, Donald of Novelty, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. A loving Memorial will be held at the family home of her daughter on Friday, August 18, 2000 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Alzheimer's Association, Breast Cancer Association or Hospice.
