Obituary for Lauer

James"Dick" Lauer, 89, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Sunday, August 13. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a custodian in the Ohio School System, retiring in 1976. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1981; brother, Harold in 1997; and sister-in-law, Beulah Lauer in 1992. Dick is survived by his brother, Don and wife, Connie of Belen; brother-in-law, John Hoffman; his very special nephew, Bruce J. and wife, Miriam of Valrico, FL. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews. Graveside services will take place in the Newport Cemetery in Newport, Ohio on Thursday, August 17 at 2:30 p.m. Dick's family requests that donations be made in his name to the New Mexico Boys Ranch or Girls Ranch, P.O. Box 5000, Boys Ranch, NM 87002. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM.
