Ines Oms passed away on Thursday, June 29th at her home after a brief illness. She was born in Camaguey, Cuba on December 11, 1921 and lived in Albuquerque from January 18, 1966 until her death. Ines is survived by her husband, Juan Oms; her two children, Jorge Oms of Denver, CO and Jose Oms, wife, Beth, and their two children of Albuquerque. Ines was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and gentle friend to those blessed to have known her. Her unending faith, love and patience will keep her spirit alive in all those whose lives she touched. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 7th, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Father Antonio Mondragon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Prince of Peace St. Vincent de Paul for the poor, Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel NE, Albuquerque 87122.
