Alice Lancaster, 94, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 27 years, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2000. Alice was born on April 21, 1906 the daughter of Thomas and Anna Orth Walker in Selah, Washington. She had worked for Nordstrom's Department Store before retiring. Alice was a member of Mountain View Rebekah Lodge #36, American Legion Auxiliary #118, Rio Rancho Thursday Club, Rio Rancho Ranchettes, Vista Grande Project Happiness, and the Rio Rancho Rockhounds. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart C. Lancaster in 1997, and one nephew, William Walker. Survivors include: Maureen Mitchell, Marianne Collins, Thomas Walker, Dick and Delos Circle, and many great nieces and nephews and friends. The Visitation will be on FRIDAY, JULY 7, 2000 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the Service following at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with The Rev. Larry Wills officiating. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho
