Mary R. Wallauer, 75, died on June 22, 2000 in Albuquerque. She joined the Women's Army Corps in 1943 where she met her husband of 54 years, Robert Wallauer. He preceded her in death in 1997. Mary was very active in local politics and the Democratic Party. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Montoya of Los Lunas; and grandsons, Brandon Montoya and wife, Angela of Mobile, AL and Ron Montoya of Rio Rancho. Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at Chapel of Sandia Funeral Care, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho of New Covenant Church officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
