Betty Anna Thompson, age 83, a resident for 75 years, died Thursday. She was born June 6, 1917 in Hartford City, Indiana to Harl and Mabel Thompson. She is survived by her brother, Ray A. Thompson and wife, Mildred of Wilmington, DE, and by their daughter, Trudie E. Thompson and husband, David M. Welch, presently of Canberra, Australia. She was preceded in death by her nephew, George Thompson. Miss Thompson was an accountant for Albuquerque Federal Savings and Loan for over 20 years, and continued to work independently as an accountant until age 80. Services will be conducted by Rev. Patricia E. Walker in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 26. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alpha Church, P.O. Box 21131, Albuquerque 87154. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.
