Max Griego, 65, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Rita Griego of the family home; four children, David Griego and wife, Annie, Michael Griego and wife, Frances, Steven Griego and Karen Griego, all of Albuquerque; mother, Aurora Griego of Tucmcari, NM; five sisters, Clara Griego, Flora Martinez, Anita Dominguez and husband, Ruben, Isabel Griego and Linda Peterson and husband, Ron; and looking forward to the birth of his 1st grandchild due in October. He was preceded in death by his father, Ricardo Griego; and brother, Richard Griego. He was lifelong member of the Catholic Church. Mr. Griego was an Air Force Veteran and retired from the United States Public Health Department. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:30 p.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Father Antonio Mondragon reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, with Father Antonio Mondragon, Celebrant. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Lopez, Bonifacio Lopez, Horacio Lopez, Serafin Padilla, Joe Lopez, Andrew Lopez and Dan Lopez. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
