Mr. Reyes Hugh (David) Tijerina, age 53, born July 30, 1947, went with the Lord Saturday, November 11, 2000. Mr. Tijerina was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Tijerina. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Tijerina of 32 years; daughters, Bernadette Bierner and family, and Justina Tijerina; his father, Reies Tijerina; mother, Maria Escobar Chavez; eight brothers and sisters and their families, Rose Duran and husband, Fabian, Rachel Tijerina, Iradella Bowers, Noe Tijerina, Iris Quinonez and husband, Manuel, Carlos Joaquin Tijerina and wife, Alice, Harmony Tijerina, and Donna Tijerina; and numerous other family members and friends who loved him very much and will miss him deeply. He will be forever remembered by the many peoples whose lives he touched. Funeral Services for Mr. Tijerina will be held on Wednesday at Salazar & Sons Mortuary where the Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Noe Tijerina, Reyes Tijerina, Israel Tijerina, Carlos Joaquin, Dan Tijerina and Manuel Quinonez. Visitation for Mr. Tijerina will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
