Obituary for Rossbach

Jessie Bea Penn Rossbach was born February 22, 1956 in Raton, NM. and passed away October 31, 2000 at her home in Placitas. She was a wonderful wife, devoted mother, a humble friend, and a dedicated professional. Jessie was a soils scientist, having graduated from Purdue University where she met her husband, Fred. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Baber"Babe" Penn, and is survived by her husband, Fred; daughter, Hallie, 15; and son, Jesse, 11, all of the family home in Placitas; mother, Rhoda Louise Burkett Penn of Albuquerque; brother, Carton Penn of San Simon, AZ; sister, Malinda Baker of Guinda, CA. A memorial celebration will be held in Placitas, NM. at the Community Center, NM Highway 165 to mile marker 6.7, turn left on Camino de Las Huertas Road and travel 0.4 of a mile, on Sunday, November 5, 2000. The ceremony starts at 11:00 a.m. with arrival recommended at 10:30 a.m. Please bring a story or a small remembrance. A lunch will follow at 12:30 p.m. She was a loving, giving person and battled her illness for two years. Jessie's body will be cremated. Think of her when you see Mount Blanca. She will be missed.
