Obituary for Rinehart

Floyd Henry"Babe" Rinehart, Sr., a longtime Albuquerque resident, passed away October 12, 2000 in a Fort Worth area hospital at the age of 85 years. Babe was born June 15, 1915 to Frances and Ina Osa Rinehart in Mystic, Iowa. The family moved to New Mexico about 1920 and settled in the North Valley of Albuquerque around 1925. On December 7, 1938, Babe married Martha Knudson. A carpenter by trade, Babe specialized in flooring and owned The Floor Shop in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He retired in 1980. His parents, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. In addition to his wife of 62 years he is survived by children, Floyd H. Rinehart, Jr. and wife, Linda, of Salem, OR, Bernice Bradshaw and husband, Mike of Farmington, NM, Norman Eugene"Gene" Rinehart and wife, Doreen, John K. Rinehart and wife, Janice, and Denise Rinehart, all of Fort Worth, TX. He is also survived by grandchildren, Rhonda Maxwell, Rodney Rinehart, Norman Rinehart, Patrick Rinehart, Tyler Rinehart, Joshua Rinehart, Jared Rinehart, Janelle Rinehart, Jody Bradshaw, Jeremy Bradshaw, Keith Schilling, Kelly Schilling, and Justin Schilling; great-grandchildre, Jason Martindale, Jasmine Martindale, Ryan Rinehart, Ashleigh Rinehart, Quinn Bradshaw, Melissa Rinehart, Aaron Rinehart, Zachariah Rinehart, and Irene Rinehart; brothers, Harlan Rinehart, J.C."Jiggs" Rinehart; and sister, Laura Mercer; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2000 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle SE. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald and Son Chapel, followed by Interment at Sandia Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
