Obituary for Sutherland

Irene Loma Sutherland, 92, a resident of Albuquerque for over 30 years, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000. She was the 7th child born to the late Samuel and Katherine Jones. Mrs. Sutherland is survived by her nieces, Joyce Carnes of Detroit, MI, Audry Millicent Wood and husband, Henry of Kansas City, KS, Loma McKinnon and husband, Raymond of Edison, NJ, Brenda Williams of Bronx, NY, and Naomi of GA; and nephew, Robert Jones of Mechanicsville, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barrington Sutherland. Mrs. Sutherland was a member of the Bethesda Seventh Day Adventist Church, and was a strong believer in Jesus Christ. She retired from the State of New York as a social worker after 25 years. Services will be held next week at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will take place in Bloomfield, NJ after the service here in Albuquerque next week. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
