Benjie Gallegos, 51, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of El Cerro, N.M. passed away on Friday, June 9, 2000. He was a member of the Catholic Church and the Iron Workers Local Union 495 for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susie in 1990. Benjie is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Dina of the family home in Albuquerque; five children, Dorean Gallegos of Estancia, Kim Aragon and her husband, Lloyd of Grants, Dreciann Lucero, Benjamin and Leanne all of the family home in Albuquerque; 5 loving grandchildren, Michael Ramirez, Lloyd Aragon Jr., Monica Vigil, Audrianna Aragon, and Isaiah Lucero; his father, Ismael O. Gallegos of El Cerro; four brothers, Frankie of El Cerro, Pete and his wife, Phyllis of El Cerro, Marcus and his wife, Lorraine of Los Lunas, Dennis and his wife, Lucie of Albuquerque; four sisters, Nellie Peralta and her husband, Willie of Albuquerque, Prescilla and her husband, Sonny of Albuquerque, Lorraine Talamante and her husband, Michael of Rio Rancho, Betty Ann Yalch and her fiance, Neal Mueller of El Cerro. Benjie is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home. A Rosary will follow at 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers wil be Marcus Castillo, Louie Chavez, Chris Gallegos, Willie Peralta, Michael Talamante, Aaron Yalch, Lloyd Aragon, Joshua and Eric Talamante. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N.
