Joe Rice, 32, of Pillager, Minnesota (near Brainerd), drowned in a fishing accident on May 13, 2000. He was a former resident of Albuquerque and Ironwood, Michigan. Mr. Rice is survived by his wife, Misty; son, Joey; daughters, Wintra and Whitney; his sister, Tiffany; mother, Karen Barton of Pillager; sister and brother, Tanya and Donald of Phoenix; sister and brother-in-law, Tari and Daniel of Whiteman AFB, MO; his sister, Ann and her husband, Del; father, Jim of Albuquerque; and his sister, Tertia of Seattle.
