Daniel C. Chavez died Saturday in Albuquerque at the age of 42. Daniel is survived by his father, Melesendro Chavez; mother, Margie Chavez; wife, Norine Chavez; son, Angelo Chavez; daughters, Renee Chavez, JoAnne Chavez and Theresa Chavez; brother, Michael Chavez and wife, Dannette; and grandchildren, Brianna, Marissa and Johanna Chavez. Funeral Services for Mr. Chavez will be held on Wednesday at Ascension Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randel Barboa, Phillip Paiz, Paul Chavez, Waylon Chavez, George Paiz and Michael Gutierrez. A Rosary for Mr. Chavez will be recited on Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at Ascension Church. Arrangements by Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
