Donnan Stephenson, age 80, of Santa Fe, died on Monday, January 10, 2000. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson was born on November 21, 1919, in LeHarpe, KS. A Veteran of WWII he served with the United States Navy abroad the U.S.S. Hendon #638 and received a Bronze Star. He retired as Lt. Commander USNR. He attended and and graduated from the University of Kansas and the University of Kansas Law School. He was a lawyer and Justice of the New Mexico State Supreme Court. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He gave to many charities, including the"Donnan Stephenson" Lecture Series at Kansas University Law School. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe, NM. He is survived by his sons, Mark Stephenson and wife, Kathy of El Rancho, NM and Bruce Stephenson and wife, Tarika of Santa Fe, NM. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Autumn Stephenson of Albuquerque, Quinn and Erin Li Stephenson, both of Santa Fe. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, January 14, at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. A Reception will follow at the Palace Restaurant.
