Obituary for Singleton

Howard Singleton, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, January 10, 2000. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Cook and husband, John of Spokane, WA, Linda Pinkham and husband, Randy of Altus, OK and Cathy Claggett of Albuquerque; sons, Howard A. Singleton and wife, Sharyn, Brian A. Singleton and wife, Lisa, all of Albuquerque and David L. Singleton and wife, Pam of Midwest City, OK; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Baker of Lima, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Singleton in 1996. Mr. Singleton graduated from the University of Houston, College of Technology. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories for over 23 years, retiring with a medical retirement in May 1980. Mr. Singleton entered the U.S. Navy in October 1941 and retired with a medical discharge in April 1946 as an Electrician's Mate First Class, serving in England on a ship repair base. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Mr. Singleton was also a member of the Tumbleweed R.V. Club and loved to travel. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain NE, with Pastor Bruce Wilder officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE
