Obituary for Bolie

Earleen Dale Bolie, 78, a resident of Albuquerque for 29 years, died Sunday, January 9, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Victor, a former U.S.A.F. Pilot and engineering professor. Earleen Dale Bolie was born in Fort Dodge, IA of parents, Birdie Marie Swanson and Earl Clifton Dale, a WWI Veteran. Following her childhood years in Montana, the family moved back to Iowa where she graduated as Valedictorian from Kanawha High School. She then earned teacher certification and the BA degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1944, and served for 12 years as a high school teacher at successively advancing locations in Iowa and Minnesota. Following graduate studies at Stanford and Iowa State, she received the MS degree with state certification in educational guidance, and thereafter served for five years as counselor at Anaheim, CA and Stillwater, OK. Throughout her career of working with young people in a variety of assignments, Earleen was well known for her enthusiasm and dedication. She will be missed for her cheerful outlook for the coming generations. Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
