Obituary for Miller

Glenn Eugene Miller, a resident of Rio Communities, died Saturday, January 8, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Albuquerque. He was predeceased in death by his first wife of 40 years, Marian Marter, the mother of his children, a son, Dr. Michael Miller and wife, Sarah of Des Moines, IA and a daughter, Sandra Titus of Reston, VA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kevin, Matthew, Kelly and Kristen; and one great-grandson, Monty Glenn. Glenn met and married his wife of 18 years Mary Jo Frank Miller in 1982. Glenn served as an officer in the Navy during W.W.II, and was a school teacher and administrator in the Detroit schools until his retirement in 1972. He came to Belen in 1980 where he was active in St. Philip's Episcopal Church, the Breakfast Optimist of Belen, and the Tierra del Sol Country Club-he was an avid golfer. He and Mary Jo traveled extensively during their later years. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2000 at St. Philip"s Episcopal Church, 113 La Luna Pl., in Rio Communities, with Father Philip West and the Rev. George Bach, officiating. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sunrise Society. Memorials may be made to the St. Philip's Episcopal Church building fund, P.O. Box 1096, Belen, NM 87002.
