Obituary for Gutierrez

Mr. Juan P. Gutierrez, 79, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on January 5, 2000. Mr. Gutierrez was the beloved husband of 30 years to Mrs. Dora Gutierrez. He is also survived by four daughters, Cynthia Gallegos and husband, Leonard, Frances Sandoval, Christina Sandoval and Priscilla Garcia and husband, Richard; two sons, Donald Rivera and Johnny Ray Gutierrez; two sisters, Maggie Aldaz, and Anita Gonzales and husband, Ben; two brothers, Erineo Gutierrez and wife, Jovita and Lorenzo Aldaz; 13 grandchildren, Andrea, Sarah, James, Teresa, Briana, Chantel, Shirray, Richard Jr., Christopher, D.J., Johnathan, John D., and Eric. Mr. Gutierrez was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII, a member of the V.F.W. Post 6216, serving Seam Squirrel for M.O.C. Pup Tent 18, member of the D.A.V., Chapter 3, and American Legion, Post 69. A Rosary will be recited Sunday afternoon, 4:00 p.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with visitation at the church after 3:30 p.m. Mrs. Maestas and Mrs. Herrera, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Family Church, with final viewing at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Manuel Viera, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Johnny Gonzales, Lee Aldaz, Jimmy Aldaz, Richard Garcia, Leonard Gallegos and Ernie Gutierrez. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
