Obituary for Lewis

Elfi Lewis, 73, of Grants, NM, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2000. She was a resident of Grants since 1964, where she arrived with her six children from Germany. She was brought here and is survived by her sister, Christa Garcia and husband, Dr. Arthur Garcia of Albuquerque; seven sisters and one brother in Germany. She accomplished many things in her life, but her greatest pride and joy was her family. She will be greatly missed by her children, Karin Vallo and husband, Henry of Bernalillo, Tina Ford and husband, Arnold of Grants, Birgit Chacon of Farmington, Klaus Sthalhut of Bluewater, NM, Connie Walter of Santa Fe, Andrea Lovato and husband, Pat of Santa Fe and Mike Lewis and wife, Heidi of Santa Fe; 14 grandchildren, Daniel, Scotty, Heidi, Jeremy, Julie, Beverly, Marc, Leslie, Lorelee, Holly, Emily, Jody, Bradley and Spencer; 15 great-grandchildren, Anthony, James, Jimmy, Johnny, Annmarie, Tyler, Ryan, Amanda, Christina, Mathew, Joshua, Andrew, Mariah, Savanah and Megan. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2000 at First Baptist Church, 224 Mountain Road, in Grants. Cremation has taken place. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd., Albuquerque, NM, is in charge of arrangements.
