Alma Ruth Followill passed into the Lord's keeping Tuesday at a Mineral Wells, TX hospital after a very brief illness. She was born in Austin, TX on September 16, 1913; the oldest of nine children of Dexter and LeRoy Ator. Marriage to Sedale A. Followill on March 7, 1936, brought about an interesting life in New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle, as well as the Lipan, TX area. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Marie Ator of Mineral Wells, Nancy Ator of England, Anna Ator of Denton, Paul and Ruth Ator of Virginia, Joe and Beverly Ator of California, Patsy Ator of Austin, and Roy and June Ator of Lipan; sister, Dorothy Bates of Lipan; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and June Followill of California; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Bob Lewis of Colorado, Sarah Turner of Cedar Hill, Beth and Jim Richards of Dallas, Maye and Dennis Wilkinson of New Mexico, and Jean and Paul Storelli of Lipan; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, at the Lipan Church of Christ with Bob Lewis, Minister, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the Wiley Chapel in Lipan.
