Obituary for Seidel

Gail Seidel passed away after a year and a half battle with cancer at her home on Monday, December 27, 1999 with her family by her side. Gail was born in Albuquerque where she lived most of her life. She was retired from the Albuquerque Police Department, after twenty years of service, where she had many wonderful and devoted friends. Gail is survived by her husband, Rick Seidel; and granddaughter, Samantha Quintana of the family home; daughter, Michelle and husband, Bobby Lopez; parents, Wilda and Joe Montano; mother-in-law, Ruth Seidel; sisters, Barbara Martinez and her friend, Butch Keiser, Yvonne Eder and her son, Jason Eder; brother, Chuck Skinner and his friend, Len Bugge; niece, Rhonda and husband, Kevin Harmon, niece, Angela and husband, Jason Armijo and their son, Jason Jr, Christopher Seidel and wife, Susan, Caroline Seidel and children, Coralie and Alicia; granddaughter, Christina Seidel and her parents, Maryjo and Rich Abrams. Gail was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Herb Seidel. Gail will be remembered for her wonderfully optimistic attitude toward everybody she came in contact with and especially toward life itself. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. A special tanks to the doctors, nurses and employees of the Lovelace Oncology unit and the nurses and employees of the Lovelace Hospice Unit. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at Santuario de San Martin de Porres, 8321 Camino San Martin, S.W., Westgate Heights, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cremation has taken place and Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. N.E. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of Hospice, 5655 Jefferson St. N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87109.
