Elise"Nonnie" Louise Locke, born August 23, 1914 in Batesville, Arkansas, passed away December 27, 1999 in Albuquerque. She was a longtime member of Phillips Chapel C.M.E. Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freda Edward Locke; and a daughter, Lois Bailey; and son-in-law, Wilbert Garrett. She is survived by three daughters, Margaret W. Garrett, Anita B. Thomas and Ethel F. Foster, all of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia P. Montgomery of Batesville, AR; and sister-in-law, Norine Patten Williams; son-in-law, Curtis Bailey, both of Albuquerque. Visitation for Mrs. Locke will be held Sunday, January 2, 2000, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 3, 2000, 12:00 noon, at Phillips Chapel C.M.E. with Pastor William Dorn Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Fe National Cemetery.
