Ralph F. Gallegos died at the age of 78. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 100 and the VFW Post 401, and as a wartime veteran received two purple hearts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor"Veva" Gallegos and survived by Fredrick, Leonard, and Ronald Gallegos; one daughter, Criselda Sieges; three brothers, Benny Gallegos, Andy Gallegos and Tony Chavez; four sisters, Sophie Gurule, Connie Becerra, Rosie Chavez, Tarsila Griego; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The Salazar & Sons Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
