Obituary for Baca

Mrs. Rosalie (Lia) E. Baca, 63, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away December 24, 2002 peacefully with her family at her side after a courageous nine year battle with Lupus. Mrs. Baca is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Dulcinea Marquez Mrs. Baca survived by her beloved husband of 42 years Robert (Bobby) Baca; her son, Robert Baca and wife, Jeannie; two daughters, Paulette Baca-Casaus and husband, Randy, Stepanie Garcia and husband John; her most precious treasures her beautiful grandchildren, Joseph Baca, Alex Argueta, Ashley Baca, John Garcia Jr. and Brittnee Garcia; five loving and caring brothers, Rey, Fino, Magoo, Eloy and wife Angie, Bernie and wife, Corrine and a special friend Patsy Chavez. Mrs. Baca was a member of the Catholic Church. Lia was a very caring person and will be missed by every heart she touched. A visitation for Mrs. Baca will be Friday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 417 Stover SE with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father James Moore. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Ron Marquez, Don Marquez, Tommy Marquez, Mark Marquez, Michael Marquez and Ruben Gabaldon. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ricky Baca and Dennis Mascarenas. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW in charge of the arrangements. 243-7861.
