Obituary for Ringer

Mabel Ringer, 94, died December 29, 2001. She is survived by a sister, Charlsie and husband, Charlie Chavez of N.M.; nephew, Larry Chavez of N.M.; niece, Sandra Chavez of N.M.; great-niece, Kendra Edwards of N.M.; great-nephew, Matt Edwards of N.M., and many other family members. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, W.W. Ringer. Mabel has been a resident of New Mexico since 1936. She moved to Southern California during WWII and worked as a riveter in building warplanes. Gardening was one of her favorite past times and she would always share her produce with friends and family. She enjoyed sewing and will be missed as a mother figure in the family. She was a member of the Valley Christian Church. A visitation will be held Monday December 31, 2001 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Valley Christian Church 2813 Gun Club Rd. SW. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Meeks, Nick Meeks, Sandra Chavez, Kendra Edwards, Matt Edwards, and Larry Chavez. Services are under the direction of Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
