Obituary for Micek

Angeline Castillo,"Angie", Micek, was taken by the angels to be with her Lord in her eternal home on December 29, 2001. She was born April 13, 1922 to Pedro and Biviana Castillo. She resided in Albuquerque until her marriage to Lucian Micek in 1947. They made their home in Columbus, Nebraska for 26 years and returned in 1973 to live in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Biviana; brother, Eloy; sisters, Esther C. Griego, Judy and Josephine Castillo. She is survived by her husband, Lou; son Ken; and daughter, Loretta, all of Albuquerque; and granddaughter, Nicole Micek of Florida. She is also survived by sisters, Lillian C. Sawtelle, Cecilia C. Casaus, and husband, Mike, all of Albuquerque; Irene C. Padilla and husband, Roque, and Beatrice C. Turturo all of Los Angeles, California, and many other beloved Castillo and Micek relatives and dear friends. Angie was dedicated to her family and home. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, canning, was very creative and an accomplished seamstress. A rosary will be recited by Ann Sanchez on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Thursday, January 3, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit French Mortuary,10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Wednesday, January 2, 2002, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Alvin Micek, Julius Sanchez, Ted McKinney, Terry Steed, Robert Casaus, Lew Critchfield and Terry Micek.
