Obituary for Taylor

William Arthur Taylor, Warrant Officer US Army Ret., and a long-time Albuquerque resident died on Friday, December 28, 2001 following a long illness. He is survived by his sister, Marjorie A. Taylor of Malden, MA; and friend, Richard Collier of Albuquerque, NM. William graduated from McLean hospital school of nursing. He enlisted in the Army, December 17, 1941. During his Army career, he served with the 69th station hospital, serving in North Africa, South France and Germany. He later worked at Lovelace Hospital in administration. Following his retirement, he became a volunteer with the Lovelace Auxiliary volunteering 6000 hours. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Lovelace Medical Center (east entrance) 5400 Gibson SE with Chaplin Fabian Gagnon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lovelace Auxiliary Scholarship Fund in memory of William A. Taylor 5400 Gibson SE, Albuquerque, NM. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling his arrangements.
