Obituary for Lincoln

Ray Lincoln Jr., CLU, 69 years old, passed away December 31st at his home in Albuquerque. He was born December 26, 1932 in North Platte, NE to Ray Asa and Mildred Lincoln. Ray was an all-state halfback for the North Platte H.S. Bulldogs and went on to play football for the University of Denver. He was president of the Arizona Pop Warner Football Association and coached for many years. He began his lifelong career as an agent with State Farm Insurance companies in 1959 and became the youngest District Manager during his 19 years in Phoenix, AZ. In 1978 he moved to Albuquerque where he continued as an agent until his death. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his Labrador Retrievers, sons, and grandsons. Ray is survived by his wife of 33 years, Beverley; sons Steve Lincoln of Denver, CO, Ron Lincoln of Maple Valley, WA and Brad LeFevre of Indiana; daughters Deanna Lincoln-Haddow of Tonto Basin, AZ, Kathy Colton of Phoenix and Michele Perk of Albuquerque; and 12 grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, and survived by his two sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 525 San Pedro NE, #101, Albuquerque, NM 87108 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2002 at French Mortuary - Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE., Albuquerque, NM 87112.
