Obituary for Shinn

Clayton P. Shinn, 78, a resident of Belen, died Tuesday, January 1, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edith Shinn of Belen; daughters, Donna Shinn Nargelovic and Bonnie Krayer and husband, Ross, all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rick Nargelovic and wife, Lydia, Scott Nargelovic and wife, Tina and their son, Tyler, Khristie Krayer, Melissa Rameriz and husband, Carlos, all of Albuquerque and Patricia Navarro and husband, Randy of Carlsbad, CA; sister, Irene Reynolds and husband, Al of Albuquerque; and various nieces and nephews. Mr. Shinn was a local businessman and owner of Lomas Paint and Body Shop. He served as President of I.A.S.A. Mr. Shinn was a member of Temple Lodge #6. He served as the Potentate of Ballut Abyad Shrine and became Imperial Representative Emeritus in 1978. Mr. Shinn was also a member of the Royal Order of Jesters and the Motor and Foot Patrol and served as the Chairman of the Shrine Circus Committee. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple, 6600 Zuni Rd. SE, with Chaplain George Hunsaker officiating. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ballut Abyad Transportation Fund, 6600 Zuni Rd. SE, 87108.
