Viola Mae Childers, age 91, died Wednesday, January 2, 2002 in Muleshoe, TX. She lived most of her life in the Amistad-Rosebud areas of Union County, NM, and had been a resident of Dalhart, TX since 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Childers in 1987; and a son, Ronald Childers in 1994. Viola is survived by two daughters, Ida Lorene Bollinger of Bosque Farms and Edna Mae Smith of Dumas, TX; one son, Doyle Childers of Clovis, NM; ten grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 5, 2001 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton, NM and burial was in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
