Obituary for Maccario

William "Bill" Maccario, 70, a 30-year resident of Albuquerque died Tuesday, January 8, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lucretia Maccario of Albuquerque; sons, William "Billy" Maccario of Albuquerque and Anthony Maccario and wife, Josie of Agua Dulce, CA; daughters, Stephanie Morosin and husband, Greg of Albuquerque and Kaelynn Dixon and husband, Jim of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Justine Maccario and Josette Maccario of Agua Dulce, CA, and Lucy Boyd Dixon of Albuquerque; sister, Margaret Salen of Chicago, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Quam Maccario, an infant son, John Maccario, and brother, Joe Maccario. Mr. Maccario was born in New Jersey. He moved to Albuquerque in 1972 when he was transferred by Honeywell Corporation where he worked in Defense Avionic sales. After his retirement in 1993, he enjoyed racquetball and was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed the Minnesota Vikings and Norte Dame, both of which he played for in his youth. He was also a member of the Norte Dame Bengal Bouts Boxing Team in 1950. Most recently, he loved driving his red convertible. He was also a dog's best friend. Mr. Maccario belonged to the Norte Dame Club. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2002, 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
