Rubye Butler, 86, a former resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, January 4, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Buck and husband, David of Temecula, CA; son, William Butler and wife, Elaine of Denver, CO; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodson Butler in 1986. Rubye was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2075 and the American Legion Auxiliary. She lived in California for 53 years. Rubye worked in retail for 25 years in Hawthorne and also worked for Bank of America in Hawthorne for ten years. Services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with The Rev. Patricia Holman officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
