Charles Gurule. Former television newsman and businessman, Charles Gurule passed away Monday, January 21, 2002 after a courageous struggle with a prolonged illness. He leaves behind a loving wife, Theresa; and son, James. He is also survived by sister, Erna Cotinola and husband, Gil; brother, Ed Gurule; sister, Fran Gurule; and sister, Annette Torres and husband, Matt. He also leaves behind an extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Charlotte Gurule. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at The Church of the Risen Savior. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of the Risen Savior followed by internment at Mt Calvary. New Mexico Mortuary Services is handling the arrangements.
