Obituary for Roberson

Roy R. Roberson, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Monday, February 11, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Jennette Roberson of Albuquerque; daughters, Gay Osborne of Bowie, MD, Roya Slater and husband, Mark Funk of Scottsdale, AZ, Julie Brotherton and husband, Ray of Grand Junction, CO, Denise Ashton of Alexandria, VA; sons, Jason Roberson and wife, Mary of Albuquerque, Brent Roberson and wife, Patti of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Ethel Mabe of Kernersville, NC. Mr. Roberson married Jeannette Moriz on October 3, 1944 in Albuquerque. He retired in March 1989 after 30 years of service with the New Mexico Air National Guard. Mr. Roberson was a Veteran of WWII and Vietnam. Services will be held Friday, February 15, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul NE, with Pastor Jerry Landry officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Jason Roberson, Brent Roberson, Mark Funk, Ray Brotherton, Julie Brotherton, and Larry Wright. Honorary Pallbearer will be William Clark and Darius K. Roberson. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
