Elisa B. Garcia went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2002. She was born in Roswell, NM to the late Seferino Brionez and Dometilia Gonzales. Elisa was a lifetime member of the DAV, American Legion Post 49 and a member of Holy Child Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo of 55 years. She is survived by her daughters, Yolanda Jean Garcia, Gloria Jean Garcia, Martha M. Romero and husband, Wayne and Julia Ann Garcia; sister, Mary Molina; brother, Bernardo Brionez; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Elisa will be deeply missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at Holy Child Catholic Church in Carnuel, NM at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ruben F. Garcia, Ralph Brionez, Edward Brionez, Warren Garcia, Lorenzo Garcia and Johnny Vigil. Honorary Pallbearers will be Manuel Romero, Wayne Romero and Luis Perez. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.
