Darlene Alice Phebus, 79, a resident of Rio Rancho, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 4, 2002, after a short illness. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Wagner and husband, Robert of Rio Rancho and Sheila Wilhelmi and husband, Lenard of Conchas Dam, NM; sister, Dorothy Peterson of Cedar Crest, NM; three loving granddaughters, Carrie Lagomarsino, Carla Jo McBurney and Rhonda Calhoon; and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Lagomarsino, Samuel, Xiao and Joseph Noah McBurney, Zachary Calhoon and Joshua and Jacqueline Goss. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wheeler Phebus; and parents, Raymond and Pearle Flegge. Services will be held, Thursday, March 7, 2002, 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary-Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
