Obituary for Tirado

Pedro F. Tirado, 79, died, Thursday, March 7, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Luz D. Tirado of Albuquerque; sons, Frank Tirado and wife, Peggy, Jose N. Tirado, Pedro N. Tirado and wife, Michelle, Dennis C. Tirado and wife, Linda, and Milton F. Tirado and wife, Debora; daughter, Luz V. Tirado; ten grandchildren; sisters, Esther Muriel and Virginia Tirado. Mr. Tirado was a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. He also received a Master's degree from Texas A & M and attended other institutions. He received diplomas in Agronomy, Natural Resources and Latin American Relations. Mr. Tirado worked for the State Dept. with the US Agency for International Development in Central and South America. Upon returning to Puerto Rico he worked in the Dept. of Natural Resources. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1976. He wrote several scientific books and pamphlets as a result of his research in the field and in laboratories that helped the agricultural development of various nations. Mr. Tirado was a Member Emeritus of the American Society of Agronomy, the American Institute of Biological Sciences and the College of Agronomists of Puerto Rico. Mr. Tirado was very proud of his children and continued to love and cherish his wife, children and grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at 4:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
