Obituary for Hardin

Sue Hardin, born August 24, 1905 in Granite, OK, passed away peacefully March 13, 2002. She had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1962. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Hardin in October 1973. Sue is survived by her daughter, Marlene Walton and husband, Jay of Albuquerque; her son, Bob Hardin of Amarillo; grandchildren, Michelle Thompson and husband, John of Phoenix, AZ, T. Matt Evans and wife, Bridget of Upland, CA, Mark Evans and wife, Carla of Albuquerque, Robert J. Hardin of Amarillo, Nicole Pequeno and husband, Gabriel of Amarillo, Sharon Walton Gillespie and husband, Michael of Albuquerque, Dean Walton and wife, Susan of St. Lucia, West Indies; and great-grandchildren, Jeremy Thompson, Jon and Chris Evans, Zacharia Pequeno and Michael Dean and Drew Gillespie, she is also survived by sisters, Daisy Adams of Marble Falls, Texas, Ruth Brooks of San Angelo, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Sue's passion was drawing, oil painting and her family. She worked for many years at Kistler Collister and Mandell?s clothing stores. She was a member at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2002 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2002 at First United Methodist Church 4th & Lead SW with Dr. Terry Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Sandia Memory Gardens. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is handling her arrangements.
