Obituary for Gatterman

Helen A. Gatterman, 93, passed way on Saturday, March 16, 2002. She was born on January 17, 1909 in Otis, Kansas. Helen is survived by a son, Dean Gatterman and wife Aileen; a daughter, Nedra Gatterman, all of Albuquerque, a son Michael Gatterman and wife Genevieve of Aurora, CO; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Mabel Payne, of Albuquerque. Helen married Ralph Gatterman in 1931. During their life together they lived in Colorado, Arizona, California, and Kansas. Ralph passed away in 1969 and Helen moved to Albuquerque in 1973. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a skilled and enthusiastic cook, gardener, artist and bridge player. She was a loyal member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church for many years, participating in the music program as a choir member. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, from 4-6 p.m. March 17, 2002. Funeral Services will be at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution Ave. NE on Monday, March 18, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Tim Nuestifter officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at Haskell County Cemetery, Sublette, Kansas.
