Rev. Willis Deerman, 85, a resident of Belen for 16 years, died Thursday, March 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Anne Deerman of the family home; two sons, Rev. Will W. Deerman and wife, Linda of Ashdown, AK, Chaplain Steven F. Deerman and wife, Diane of Corrales, NM; six grandchildren, Rev. David W. Deerman and wife, Lisa of Dickson, TN, Rev. Michael L. Deerman and wife, Miki of Little Rock, AK, S. Todd Deerman and wife, Shaun of San Angelo, TX, Quenna La Joy Milam and husband, Russell of Bryant, AK, Justin Shane Deerman and wife, Jennifer of Arlington, TX, Rev. Jamen Chad Deerman and wife, Angela of West Branch, MI; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille M. Head of Jacksonville, FL and Willa Dean Vollmert of St. Ignatius, MT; sister-in-law, Florence Deerman of La Union, NM; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Rev. Deerman moved to NM in 1941. He began Pastoral Ministry with Assembly of God, NM District, 41 years ago and during his Pastorate, Rev. Deerman was also Director of Men's Ministry in NM for nine years. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Services will be held Monday, March 18th, 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 5331 Montano Road NW, with Rev. David Deerman, Rev. Michael Deerman, and Rev. Chad Deerman officiating. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen, NM. Pallbearers will be Willard Deerman, Jr., Russel Milam, Ord Cox, Jack Lann, Glenn Fulfer, and Mark Warrick. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Children's Home or Light For The Lost c/o Steve Deerman, P.O.
