Obituary for Barreras

Eva M. Barreras, age 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959 and lifelong New Mexican died Sunday March 17, 2002 in a local hospital following an illness. Mrs. Barreras is survived by her husband, Trinidad Barreras of Albuquerque; three daughters, Dolores Drumma and her husband, William of Clovis, NM, Lupe Ivey and her husband, Alex of Bosque Farms, NM and Emilia Kiscaden and her husband, Mike of Adelino, NM; two sons, Ray Barreras and his wife, Carolyn of Adelino, and Trinidad Barreras Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Washington DC. She is also survived by two sisters, Sally Marquez of Albuquerque, and Jane Anaya of Santa Fe; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barreras was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Thursday, March 21, 2002 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 833 Arizona St. SE with Fr. Tom Mayefske, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Ivey, Richard Ivey, David Ivey, Brian Barreras, Billy Drumma and Ryan Drumma. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Barreras Jr., Alonzo Baldonado, T. J. Lowrance, Charlie Saavedra, Thomas Kill and Kelly Williams. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE is handling the arrangements.
