Soledad B. Ruiz, age 82, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister was called home to be with the Lord, our Savior, Tuesday, March 19, 2002. She was a resident of Peralta, NM. Ms. Ruiz was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert P. Ruiz. She is survived by her loving children, Frank Ruiz and wife, Kathy, David Ruiz and wife, Delores, Becky Ruiz, Cecilia Serna and husband, Ernie, and Mary Serna and husband, Benny; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Elena Barela and Rosenda Trujillo; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Ms. Ruiz will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be today from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary, where Evening Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 a.m. also at Alameda Mortuary. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Mike Ruiz, Ernie Serna Jr., Rick Lopez, Joe Ruiz, Feliz Ruiz, and Benny Serna Jr. Honorary Bearers will be Max Madrid and Benny Serna, Sr. Funeral Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th Street NW, 898-3160.
