Obituary for Wershaw

Arthur S. Wershaw, D.O. born April 3, 1939 in Norwalk, CT died suddenly on March 20, 2002. Dr. Wershaw was a friend to all. Kind, compassionate and a brilliant physician who was a mentor to many. He was a graduate of the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO who had practiced medicine in New Mexico since 1969. He was affiliated with St. Joseph's Hospitals. Dr. Wershaw was also a member of the Advisory Board of Chabad of New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Joan; his sister, Doris; his brother, Robert and wife, Esther, their children, Ari and Leah Wershaw; stepchildren, Bernadette Marx, her daughter, Samantha, and Adrian Montoya. Services will be held 10:00 a.m., March 22, 2002 at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rabbi Chaim Schmukler officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dr. Keith Harvie, Manuel Camargo, Alan Liccione, Charles Medalie, Kerry Morris and John Duhigg. A Shiva and Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2002 at the Wershaw family home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chabad of New Mexico, 4000 San Pedro NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. French Mortuary, 1111 University NE.
