Obituary for Watson

Marianne Faris Watson, a resident of Albuquerque since 1929, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002. She is survived by her husband, John William Watson of Albuquerque; son, Warren B. Miller of Albuquerque; daughter, Eleanor Kay Bardenheier of St. Louis, MO; stepdaughter, Karen Harrison of Durham, NC; stepson, John William Watson Jr. and wife Laquita of Burrelson, TX; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Watson was a graduate of the University of New Mexico and a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She was also a member of Central United Methodist Church and one of the founders of NM Coin Club. Mrs. Watson worked for Valley Gold Dairies. She wrote articles for the"Numismatics", a coin magazine. She loved to also write poetry. She was a Distinguished Member of International Society of Poets. Services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2002, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Rev. Marty Singletary officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, March 22, 2002, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
