Obituary for Elliott

Hugh M. Elliott, 97, a resident of Albuquerque for 74 years, died Thursday, March 14, 2002. He is survived by his cousin, Gene Wise and wife, Betsy of Albuquerque; step-sons, Ronald Dean and wife, Ilene of Albuquerque and Hal Dean and wife, Susan, of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Vicki Dean Mayhew and husband, Michael of Albuquerque, Lori Ringwald and husband, Paul and Alan Dean, all of Payson, AZ, Erin Dean, Ryan Dean and wife, Cindy, and Kelli Dean, all of Seattle, WA; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and close friend, Joan E. Campbell, and family of Albuquerque. Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Elliott. He rode the caboose for the Santa Fe Railroad for nearly 50 years before retiring as a conductor. Cremation has taken place, and interment of cremains will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Rev. Gene H. Wise officiating.
