Judith B. Galbraith, 54, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1983, died on March 25, 2002. She is survived by her husband, G. Layton Galbraith of Rio Rancho; her children, Joseph L. Galbraith and wife, Sarah of Rio Rancho, David A. Galbraith and wife, Kelly Lesher of Tijeras, NM, Jared A. Galbraith of Rio Rancho, Ariah Powell and husband, S. Jaime of Dallas, TX, Aaron A. Galbraith and wife, Jenny of Boise, ID, Theron J. Galbraith of Rio Rancho, Peter E. Galbraith of Rio Rancho, Emma R. Herweg and husband, Jared of Albuquerque, NM, Sarah Galbraith and Allan D. Galbraith both of Rio Rancho; five grandchildren; and four on the way; mother, Rayda Barton of Richmond, VA; brothers, B. Howard Barton and wife, Lavonna of South Jordon, UT, Kelly W. Barton of Richmond, VA, Stephen Barton and wife, Francine of Auburn, WA; sister, Laraine Hynst and husband, Owen of Richmond, VA. Judith received her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from B.Y.U. and her master's degree in Computational Biology from U.N.M. She was working on her Ph.D. in Computational Biology from U.N.M. Service will take place on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2807 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho, NM with Bishop Dale Murray, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW.
