Margarita Lujan Torres, 91, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister entered the gates of heaven on Good Friday, March 29, 2002. Margarita was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Domingo I. Torres and her grandson, Walter R. Keller. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen Torres Velarde and husband, Ray; son, Dominic Torres and wife, Esmenia; daughter, Elaine Torres Rutten and husband, Johan. Margarita leaves behind four grandsons, Jerry Velarde, Randy Velarde, Anthony Torres, and Adam Keller; one granddaughter, Margarita Keller, and eight great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited at the Newman Center at the University of New Mexico, 1815 Las Lomas Road NE., on Monday, April 1, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Bob Keller at the Newman Center at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2002. Parking available at ROTC lot at Lomas and Yale. Burial will follow at the Mt Calvary Cemetery.
