Obituary for Housh

Jean Housh, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died March 29, 2002. She is survived by sons, Terry Housh of Canyon, TX, and James Housh of Albuquerque; daughter, Carol Byrne of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Jayme, Julie, Jenny, Daniel, Shane, Luke, and Ryon; great-grandchildren, Cherokee, Cheyenne, and Dakota. Her husband, Raymond E. Housh preceded her in death. Jean graduated from high school in Boise, Idaho and was a collage graduate from Chadron State College in Nebraska. She came to Albuquerque in 1965 from Hay Springs, Nebraska and worked as a secretary to the chief accountant at KOB-TV for 10 years. Mrs. Housh was an avid bowler for 35 years, bowling in several local leagues. She was a member of the Albuquerque Woman's Bowling Association for 25 years and served on the Board of Directors. Jean was also a bowling league secretary for eight years for two senior leagues. Jean enjoyed playing cribbage and was a member of the American Cribbage Congress and the local Sandia Peggers. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and was also the church organist for 20 years in Nebraska. Memorial services will be Monday, April 1, 2002 at 10:00 am at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd.with Pastor Rick Donaho, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 216 Truman NE 87108. Arrangements made by French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd Chapel.
